Donations and Dana (Generosity)
Ways to help grow the group/community.
What is Dana?
Dana is a Pali word that means “generosity” or “giving freely.” An act of generosity is said to benefit both the giver and the receiver; the giver practices sharing and letting go, and the receiver practices acceptance of what is presented. In giving Dana, offering a small favor, a kind thought, a meal, or funds to help sustain a meditation teacher, center, or community is a form of spiritual practice.

Any form of Dana is deeply appreciated and welcomed. Here is a specific list of ways to show generosity, in addition to other forms.
- Attending meetings and contributing energetically to the space.
- Sending kind thoughts and prayers to members within the group and the host.
- Inviting and sharing information about the meetings and events with others.
- Hosting, leading, or sharing a meditation, activity/event, or workshop with the group.
- Sharing any gifts or talents with the community, i.e., sound baths, tuning forks, live music, creative art or healing expression, etc.
- Offering/providing spaces for meetings and events. We meet outdoors but having alternative options for the winter season and special events are helpful. Comfortable and nurturing spaces with easy access and safe parking are ideal.
- Offering any form of Dana that resonates. Thank you!
