Donations and Dana (Generosity)

Ways to help grow the group/community.
What is Dana?

Dana is a Pali word that means “generosity” or “giving freely.”   An act of generosity is said to benefit both the giver and the receiver; the giver practices sharing and letting go, and the receiver practices acceptance of what is presented.  In giving Dana, offering a favor, a kind thought, a meal, or funds to help sustain a meditation group/community, teacher, or center is a spiritual practice.
Dana is deeply appreciated and welcomed.  Here are examples of ways to show generosity.
  • Attending meetings and contributing energetically to the space.
  • Sending kind thoughts and prayers to members within the group.
  • Inviting and sharing information about the meetings.
  • Hosting, leading, or sharing a meditation, activity/event, or workshop with the group.
  • Sharing any gifts or talents with the group, i.e., sound baths, live music, creative or healing arts, etc.
  • Offering spaces for meetings and events.
  • And any form or idea that resonates.
