Donations and Dana (Generosity)
Ways to help grow the group/community.
What is Dana?
Dana is a Pali word that means “generosity” or “giving freely.” An act of generosity is said to benefit both the giver and the receiver; the giver practices sharing and letting go, and the receiver practices acceptance of what is presented. In giving Dana, offering a favor, a kind thought, a meal, or funds to help sustain a meditation group/community, teacher, or center is a spiritual practice.
